I Dream of JEANnie

Guess what?!  It’s already Thursday – we’re almost there!  Phew.  Short weeks can feel so long.

Tomorrow is another JEANS DAY and we are doing one last collection for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Please remember to drop off your $2+ donation in the beary bank in the kitchen if you’re wearing jeans. 🙂

[Cue dream sequence chimes]

Remember back when you were a little nipper and the Saturday newspaper would come to your house and your whole family would fight over “the funnies”?  That’s what dads call the comics section.   Here are some wishful funnies for you.

9735 CTEBDL MAKE A WISH.indd“When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are”

….unless of course you’re these ADORABLE romantic dinos.  They have no idea what they’re about to get themselves into.  LOVE, am I right?!
Oh right, and the meteor thing.

'You shook the bottle first, didn't you?'

“I’m a genie in a bottle, baby”

Classic overly excited new master meets carbonated genie.  Ooof!

'Seems to me, if the falling star you're wishing upon lands on the genie about to grant three wishes, you're not getting that Ferrari.'

“Cause you had a bad day, you’re taking one down,
You sing a sad song just to turn it around”

This POOR guy! All this middle-class, straight, white male wanted was a darn Ferrari, Universe!  Can’t catch a break.

[SIDE NOTE: if you haven’t heard Bo Burnham’s song “Straight White Male”, do yourself a favour and listen/watch it.  His Netflix special is one of my all-time favourites!  He’s a boy genius]

Cartoons courtesy of the Argyle Sweater and The Flying McCoys.  They’re so good, I couldn’t even find ones without watermarks to steal borrow.  🙂
